Ethernet with Airport also on?
I have my Mac connected directly to our home Airport Extreme via ethernet cable. That same Airport Extreme acts as our main wifi router. Until recently I have not had cause to turn on the airport wifi on my Mac, but I have to if I want to use Sierra's new "unlock with Apple Watch" and copy/paste between devices features, both of which I want to be able to use.
My question is, will my Mac default to using the ethernet cable connection as my internet source, or will having two internet connections active confuse things? Is there a way to prevent the Mac from using the wifi for internet, yet still have it on for the other features it provides?
Thank you.
